Life and AD&D Insurance

As much as we may not like to think about it, planning for the unexpected is always a good idea.

Mattamy offers no-cost financial protection for eligible team members and their families if the unthinkable happens, and you or a covered family member is seriously injured or dies. You can also choose to increase your coverage if you’re eligible.

Mattamy provides both basic life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance at no cost to you. This means if you were to pass away in an accident, both benefits would be paid. Enrollment is automatic for eligible team members and proof of good health is not required.

  • Basic Life Insurance
  • Basic AD&D Insurance

Make sure to designate a beneficiary for your life and AD&D coverage to ensure your family is cared for according to your wishes.

Supplemental Coverage

Additional Life and AD&D Insurance

You may also purchase additional coverage for you, your spouse, and your eligible child(ren) under 26 years of age. You can elect optional life without having to elect optional AD&D – the two amounts do not have to match.

You will have to submit Evidence of Insurability (EOI) for benefits above the guaranteed issue amount. Once/if you are approved for the requested amount above the guaranteed issue, your optional life election and premium costs will be updated with the appropriate effective date.

When you’re newly eligible (a new hire), you can purchase additional life insurance up to the Guaranteed Issue amount without any medical questions required. Medical questions and approval will be required for all future increase and requests.

During Open Enrollment of during a QLE, you can elect employee supplemental life insurance up to $200,000, spouse supplemental life insurance up to $50,000, or increase one (1) increment without showing Evidence of Insurability (EOI).
